Penn Center Plaza is a four block business district in downtown Philadelphia that is part of acclaimed city planner, Ed Bacon’s, master plan for the city. Development plans continued and changed into the 1990’s and what was once a symbol of prestige has become a group of buildings with no apparent visual communication system. This proposal brings unity to this group of buildings through careful observation to clarify navigation in this district. Dialog between our team and the clients shaped the outcome of this project.
